Probably a girl....maybe a boy!!!

So we were hoping to be able to confidently turn our blog blue or pink....but Bubbadee decided that he/she was not going to make it easy on our poor sono-tech. We'll be able to have another look next month and hopefully will know for sure if girls rule!!! The sono-tech said 75% chance it's a girl...but we aren't selling our blue "stuff" yet. Check back around Valentine's Day and we'll post an update.

Hudson's Cowboy Walk

Hudson has two walks, the Cowboy walk (as seen in the video) with one arm up like he's hangin' on for 8 seconds, and the Frankenstein walk with both hands up.

Happy New Year!

We brought in the new years by ALL being sick. BUT - we did manage to squeeze some fun into the mix. Unfortunately we were not the normal shutterbugs that we claim to be. Luckily the Huisman's got some on their camera, so will point you to their blog for better pictures of their visit (The Huisman 5). They braved the snow storms and stopped in on their way back from Nebraska (the place where Stickel met Jelinek)and our lives forever merged. The Huisman kids took our girls out sledding - and as you can see they really wore 'em out. Paige fell asleep right on the wood floor.

Wayne was a GREAT help in getting the playroom organizers all finished up. Thanks to this project, we introduced the Huisman's to IKEA!

Hudson has fun no matter who is visiting!!

After the Huisman's left - Marina tried her hand at sledding alone. When Kyle and Carlin were sledding with the girls, they were very diligent in riding down the hill with them and making sure that the sled came to a complete stop prior to plunging into the woods. Marina did not quite get the hang of steering, stopping, or even bailing out of the sled. Don went running after her yelling, "stop, stop, stop ---- jump out, jump out ----- Ut Oh". Marina went piling into a big pile of brush - and the brush won! The cuts are all cleared up now - but it sure gave us a scare.

Holiday Fun at Grandpa and Grandma Stickel's - Another Long Overdue Posting

So much has happened since the last posting.....For the last half of our X-Mas holiday we traveled down to Columbus Ohio to see Grandpa and Grandma Stickel. Much to the girls pleasure - a pink corvette was parked for them in the garage!! They jumped in and zoomed off for 5 wonderful days of fun!

The girls revved it up and took us all down to the Columbus Zoo to see the Holiday lights (3 million lights - very impressive). Our outing was just after the Tiger escaped the San Diego Zoo, so we steered clear of the lions and tigers and bears, oh my.

Paige developed quite a relationship with the penguin. All the penguins were nesting, so they were not out on the deck. One walked by the window and Paige called to it, "Come Here Penguin!!". It promptly waddled out to her and looked her right in the eye. After that she declared that she "loves penguins".

The other MAJOR hit was the aquarium. It was beautiful, captivating, amazing, and most of all - warm.
